The sealed drag system uses technology from the Mirage fly reel. This translates to almost no maintenance and great longevity in salt water or fresh water. Machined from solid aluminum and anodized for salt water and fresh water performance.
Mid Arbor reels offer greater backing capacity and good retrieve speed with a smaller profile compared to a large arbor reel. Line coiling can be a problem on traditional reels and like a large arbor, this is greatly reduced.
Note the design on the drag knob. Thee sided vortex shape is common to the Access, Hydros, and Mirage. Also note the shape of the handle. These two elements are found to be least likely to catch when shooting line! The drag knob has detents and is resettable. Compare features, quality, and price.
