Unique Umpqua Deceiver HD Leader for anglers who target Snook and Tarpon.  Use on fly rods and lines - 7 weight to 12 weight.  To prevent cut-offs from the gill plates of Snook and rough mouth of Tarpon, there is a durable 24" 40lb Fluorocarbon bite Tippet.  The long, heavy butt section will turn over weighted flies into saltwater mangroves and wind, and the 16lb tippet is ideal for most inshore and flats fishing.  Flies sink faster with the fluorocarbon tippet sections, critical when Tarpon fishing.  Fluorocarbon is best for clear water conditions.  This is also a great leader for suspended shrimp patterns in the current.  We recommend using a non-slip loop knot to tie on a fly.  Starting with a Umpqua fluorocarbon knotless leader, the fluorocarbon bite tippet is attached with a Bimini twist for ultimate strength.

This leader is for water 1ft – 10ft, clear or turbid water.  This is a tough, durable leader for big fish in challenging conditions.
