Coffee drinks are made by brewing ground coffee beans and hot water. Brewing is either done slowly by drip, filter, percolator or French press. Slow-brewed coffees are generally regarded simply as “coffee”. Alternatively brewing can be done very quickly under pressure by a special machine, this is termed “espresso”. All coffee drinks are based on either coffee or espresso.
